All of my websites include a brand guide and this one is one of my favorites. The owner had a beautiful logo but a logo is not a brand. We needed colors, fonts, styles and photos. I was able to collaborate with his dog photographer in LA where they are based, and provide direction for their product shoot. Some sites can be completed in a few weeks, others take a few months. When you’re working with a large company to bring a new site to life it can feel like a lot of moving parts to manage. I often see clients end up with “too many cooks in the kitchen” that don’t actually understand the vision for the project. I recommend creating a small team that is on the same page with your company mission and the goals for your new site. Hi! 👋 Rachel here. If you’re new, welcome! I’m so happy you’re here in my little corner of the gram and I appreciate every like, comment or share. While I mainly post content related to my web design business and the branding projects we are working on, you’ll find lots of real life, everyday with a million kids (just kidding only 4 🤪) content in my stories. I have been in marketing for 10+ years, and a mama for almost as long. Growing a biz while growing my family has been a juggle and a joy. ☀️ A few things we might have in common… ☕️ I love a cup of coffee in the morning but I rarely make my own… I have an hour between my older kids’ drop off at 8 and my preschooler’s drop off at 9, so I end up at a coffee shop at least a few times per week. I savor those few quiet moments in the car as we begin our day. 🥎 While my favorite sport is volleyball, I’m currently coaching my girls’ softball team because they needed an assistant. It is so much fun and I love watching them learn the game… it takes me back to some of my favorite childhood memories playing softball. (I played competitively for many years until high school) 🎧I love listening to podcasts and recently since I feel like it’s impossible to sit and read a book, I’ve begun listening to books with Audible and I’m obsessed. I love historical fiction or biographies, and anything that I can learn from. If you’re into podcasts or books - leave me all your recommendations! This beautiful Shopify website design project wrapped last week! Congrats @amberswartz_ on your new website and storefront. 🎉 Amber is an artist based in Lancaster County PA, and she came to me about a year ago, looking to create a site that could grow with her business as she creates new collections and products with her artwork. This handsome site is live and today we had our training sesh, where I met with the Akron team who will be in charge of keeping the site up to date. 🌷 I reviewed how to add new events, edit text and photos on the site, swap out links and info and how to create custom sign up forms. 2023 was an amazing year for my business and my team… I had the opportunity to design over a dozen new websites and revamp or rebrand some existing sites too.
